Symposium - ExpLearn 2.0
International scientific symposium - Les Grands Ateliers Innovation Architecture, Villefontaine
march 26 to 28, 2025
Les Grands Ateliers Innovation Architecture
Villefontaine
The EXPLEARN 2.0 international symposium follows on from the EXPLEARN 1.0 symposium held in autumn 2016. This first scientific meeting on the subject in France documented different pedagogical and methodological approaches to experiential learning, and encouraged these pedagogical practices, which were not widespread in ENSA.P. at the time.
EXPLEARN 2.0 sets new objectives aimed at deepening knowledge of experiential learning and the diversity of its practices for teaching architecture and the design of inhabited spaces:
- Contextualize the various theoretical foundations of experiential learning in architecture;
- Identify and document the parameters and frameworks conducive to the development of practices that are already well tested and have become exemplary;
- Assess the impact of these approaches in academic and professional environments (tangible, detailed results).
Théo Vinceslas, Marta Miranda Santos and François Streiff (ATE researchers) will take part in the "Experiential exhibition" section with a paper entitled "Learning to use earth as a building material, and representing it: towards a fusion of disciplinary fields?"
