Let's green
Plants have taken root in the reading room over the last few days. The librarians have set themselves a challenge: to green the Pôle documentaire. In 2024-2025, a nursery of cuttings will be set up in our spaces, and why not take part in this greening by bringing us cuttings? And why not a seed library? And why not a green wall? If you come up with any other ideas over the vacations... we'll be waiting for you in September!

Architecture in review
"Has the BIM revolution taken place?" * This is the question posed in the March issue of "D'architectures" magazine . The adventure began in 2014, year zero for BIM, with the government's announcement of the PTNB (the transition plan towards digital building). The government wanted to encourage the systematic use of digital tools in the construction sector. Ten years after its launch, the author takes stock of the situation and asks whether architects, architecture schools and professionals in the sector have embraced the BIM method and its software?
To illustrate his point, he presents the example of three agencies of varying sizes that have converted to BIM: AREP, Monokron and Remingtonstyle.
*Abd El Gaber, T. (2024). Has the BIM revolution happened? . D'architectures, n°314, 124-133.

Architecture in review
The magazine "Séquences bois," published last December, devoted its 143rd issue to teaching methods. Alexis Desplats, a doctoral student at theENSA Normandie ATE research laboratoryENSA Normandie on the relationship between architecture and teaching methods, is the author of two articles: "School Architecture and Teaching Methods" and "The Architect at School." This special issue takes stock of teaching in architecture schools and proposes a reflection on different teaching methods implemented by collectives, teachers, etc.
A presentation of completed school buildings completes the dossier.

Bibliography reminder
The librarians provided training for undergraduate and Master 1 students. Students were reminded how to use the ArchiRès portal and digital resources. To support students in writing their Master's theses and study reports, training focused on assistance with thesis writing, copyright and bibliography.
We suggest a reminder HERE to help you write a standardized bibliography that respects copyright, as well as a bibliography writing aid HERE

Open access digital magazines
Mir@bel, is the result of a network of monitoring partners, including theENSA Normandie Documentation Center. It is managed by Sciences-Po Lyon. The site lists open-access journals on the Internet and provides the public with links to them. The ArchiRès/Mir@bel partnership is reflected on our documentation portal by the inclusion of a button which takes you to the Mir@bel website. For example, by clicking on
In the entry for the magazine L'architecture d'aujourd'hui, Mir@bel will tell you that issues from 1930 to 1953 have been digitized on the Cité de l'architecture et du patrimoine website.

Anti-plagiarism software
Have you heard of Compilatio? No? It's the anti-plagiarism software thatENSA Normandie has been usingENSA Normandie 2019. It allows teachers to check whether students' work complies with copyright law. There is a student version (Compilatio Studium), which is a good tool for reassuring yourself and finding out whether sources are cited correctly. Infoplag, the anti-plagiarism website set up by the Documentation Center, centralizes all the information you need, including the referral code that allows students to use Compilatio Studium for free.
