Writing Contest: Architecture in Words – A Place, A Text.

Many writers have taken an interest in painting and music, offering a perspective that differs from that of the artists themselves. Few of them, however, have written about architecture. With the Henry Jacques Le Même Prize, the French Society of Architects hopes, in its own modest way, to help rebuild the connection between architecture and writing, and to reignite the dialogue between these two ways of being in the world.

Prizes and Awards
1st Prize …………€2,500
2nd Prize ………….€1,000
3rd Prize …………….€500

Contest – My School, My Class!

“La classe, mon école!” presents a deliberately broad theme through which we aim to address spatial and architectural issues in the school environment. The goal is to introduce the concepts of reuse and the sharing of spaces and uses by establishing a common language. This will facilitate collaboration among the various stakeholders—elected officials, teaching staff, students, and designers—who each play a role in these projects in their own way. This ambitious challenge cannot be solved by a simple call for ideas. However, the flexible framework offered by this process provides a unique opportunity to reflect together in a coherent manner on these topics.

Each winner will receive a prize from a total fund of 2,000 euros; the jury may select up to three winners based on the relevance of their ideas.
The prize amount will be the same for all three winners. In the case of team entries, the check will be awarded to the designated representative.
The jury reserves the right to award up to three honorable mentions, each eligible for a total prize pool of 500 euros.

Steel competition

Registration deadline: May 29, 2026 –

Reversible – Building to transform
Faced with environmental challenges and the urgent need to rethink our construction methods, contemporary architecture is moving towards more flexible, scalable, and responsible models. Reversibility is becoming a key principle: the aim is to design buildings that can evolve over time, change function, or be dismantled, transformed, and reused—without demolition or waste. This approach involves a circular vision of architecture, in which elements are no longer fixed but designed for a second life. Steel, a robust material that can be recycled indefinitely without loss of quality, is particularly well suited to this approach. It offers design freedom that is conducive to innovation, both structurally and aesthetically. Candidates are asked to design a space with a dual purpose, capable of adapting to changing uses or contexts. Whether it is a building, mobile equipment, or a modular structure, the project must demonstrate how steel architecture can be designed to evolve over time, be easily dismantled and reused, without any loss of performance or quality.

A sum of €5,000 will be distributed by the jury among the winning teams. The number of winners and the distribution of prizes will be decided by the jury.
