CREAConnect – The Barcelona Hackathon

La Friche is a partner in the Creative Europe project CREAConnect in which it organizes several hackathons that bring together students and professionals from various sectors to work in teams on a theme related to social innovation. The next hackathon will focus on thetheme “Bring Back Nature to Third Places”and will take place in Barcelonafrom December 2 to 4, 2026.  

Participation includes an online “Capacity Building Program” that begins on October 15, followed by a three-day in-person session in Barcelona from December 2 to 4, 2026, to design and test innovative solutions that address real-world case studies.

This project offers participants the opportunity totake part in a free training program on innovative project managementled by international experts, as well as tobuild a professional network. For participants based in France who are selected, travel expenses to Barcelona will be covered.

The call for applications is open until September 28 and is opento students nearing graduation, recent graduates, and experts in architecture, urban planning, sociology, mediation, cultural management, public policy, and entrepreneurship, as well as artists andanyone else interested in the subject. Applicants must have a good command of English and be available for at least 70% of the program.
