As part of the EU 1 lecture course: "The coastline: tourism and climate change

The conference proposed by Professor Stéphane Costa will address three main issues:
- The general functioning of the coastline and the current problems of erosion and flooding by the sea
- Current management methods
- The consequences of climate change and the resulting rise in average sea level, which will impose new ways of living on the coast and territorial recomposition.

Stéphane Costa is a professor at the University of Caen Normandy, director of the UMRCNRS 6266 IDEES Caen Geophen laboratory, and co-chair of the Normandy IPCC. His research topics focus on natural hazards in coastal areas (erosion, flooding, climate change).
