Future architects apprenticing in the field to imagine tomorrow
- School life
On Tuesday, May 13, 39 students from the Darnétal-based ENSA (Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture) came to immerse themselves in the typical environment of the Brotonne peninsula, accompanied by their teachers Luc Perrot and Jérôme Le Goff. Arriving by train at Yvetot station, they walked to La-Mailleraye-sur-Seine, first discovering the farmlands of the plateau, then crossing the Brotonne Bridge. Welcomed by Yves Delaune, deputy mayor of Arelaune-en-Seine and, above all, a geographer, they discussed the specific architectural and landscape features of the area, which includes wetlands and a large forest. For these future architects, it's a question of observing in order to imagine the future, by taking up the challenge of environmental transition, "by decarbonizing construction, designing passive houses with zero energy, and envisaging innovative forms of mobility".
For Luc Perrot, "it's essential to draw on the experience of local players and the knowledge of local residents and users".
