Viêt LE TRONG

Viet Le Trong

Associate Professor

Theories and Practices of Architectural and Urban Design

Presentation

Born in 1978, Viet Le Trong participated as a student in the founding of the School of Architecture of the City & Territories. He graduated in 2006.
After a few years of training in Parisian architectural firms, Viet Le Trong began teaching in 2009 while founding his own architectural firm in Paris, grandhuit architecture.
The beginning of the practice of architecture corresponds to the teaching of it and these two practices are immediately conducted together, one feeding the other.
His professional practice is based on complementarity and permeability with teaching. Private commissions at various scales and architectural interventions in existing buildings constitute the main field of investigation of his work. These last years of teaching around the question of habitat have found their expression in his work as an architect through the notion of interior architecture built on the attention paid to uses and developing an aesthetic of use with the ordinary heritage as the main resource. Architecture as a transformation finds its place in larger ecosystems and in a long temporality. He will join ENSA Normandie in 2020 and will integrate the DE Trans-form in 2022.
