"For architecture as beautiful as it is good" by Valery Didelon
  • Documentation

Following his participation as a member of the Prix d'architectures 2023 jury and the ensuing debate on the winning projects, Valéry Didelon, architecture critic, author and HDR professor at ENSA Normandie, has written an article for the December 2023 issue. He continues the debate and explains the choice of prizewinners, and offers his vision of a new generation of architects less concerned than their predecessors with questions of grandiloquent aestheticism, but more with a different aesthetic that encompasses ethical notions of social and environmental responsibility.
