Paul de Cathelineau - ENSA Normandie graduate - Winner of the Europan 16 competition!
- School life
Congratulations to Paul de Cathelineau, a graduate of ENSA Normandie, and winner, along with Mikhalis Montarnier, Theodossis Montarnier, and Kevin Michels, of the Europan 16 competition with the SYMBIOTIC BOOM! project. - Bassens site, Bordeaux Métropole.
THE PROJECT
The state of the Anthropocene is critical, but not lost. Bassens represents a means to rebuild a more sustainable, attractive and inclusive society. At the crossroads of biotic and abiotic infrastructures, the industrial-port territory has the potential to transcend an economy of ownership into an economy of use, thanks to generous land and logistics infrastructures. To rethink an urbanised Gaia, we must reintegrate collaborative intelligence into human and natural systems. The result is a symbiotic economy where each element is valued for its potential rather than its immediate value. SYMBIOTIC BOOM! seeks resilience. Through functional hybridization, what is already there can become welcoming. With the 'right to use', citizens are united in the reconstruction of social capital.
