ENSA Normandie

Founded in 1904,ENSA Normandie in 1984 to the Darnétal/Rouen area, where it is housed in a former factory (built in the mid-19th century) set within a 2.5-hectare park. The school currently offers 5,000 square meters of space dedicated to teaching. An additional 500 m² dedicated to research will be added in 2024. It is a member of ComuE, which brings together all of Normandy’s higher education and research institutions. It is a partner in the “Excellences” projects of the University of Rouen (anticipating transitions and addressing multiple risks) and the University of Le Havre (creating a polytechnic campus for maritime and port regions) It employs 52 faculty members, including 6 professors and 5 HDR-qualified researchers, 100 external lecturers, and an administrative team of 40 staff members to educate nearly 700 students. Its educational program features a Bachelor’s degree offering a clearly defined progressive curriculum that culminates in a semester of international exposure. This Bachelor’s degree is being expanded to include a dual-track program combining a Bachelor’s in Architecture with a Bachelor of Engineering (INSA Rouen) and a Bachelor’s program offered in Hanoi. The Master’s program is structured into three areas of study: Experimentation (architecture and ecology), Transform (challenges of intervention in existing structures), and Urban and Regional Architecture. It awards the DRAQ Master’s degree as a dual-track program with the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Le Havre and the Architect-Engineer Master’s (INSA Rouen). Since July 2023, ENSAN Normandy has been accredited to award doctoral degrees.

Your tasks

ENSA Normandie two part-time associate lecturers (160 hours) to join the teaching staff for the bachelor’s degree program. The successful candidate will actively participate in implementing the educational program and will contribute ideas aimed at continuously improving the quality of instruction.

The two part-time positions (50% each) could be consolidated into a single full-time position.

The teaching load will be distributed as follows:

– The instructor will lead a bachelor’s-level project workshop (108 hours) in accordance with a common schedule and shared learning objectives.

– The instructor will also supervise internships, prepare academic reports, and/or serve as the academic advisor for the HMNOP program, as needed by the school (52 hours)
