The École nationale supérieure d'architecture de Normandie co-edits a doctorate in architecturewith the Université de Rouen Normandie.

The thesis is prepared within theATE (Architecture, Territory, Environment)research unit as part of the ED 556 HSRT (Human, Societies, Risks, Territory) doctoral school.

Conditions of access

Hold a national master's degree or another degree conferring the grade of master, following a training programme establishing your aptitude for research.

It is strongly recommended that Master's students intending to enrol for a doctorate follow the Research Track.

Registration

The application for a doctorate is subject to the prior agreement of a thesis director and the director of the research unit. The subject of the thesis may be in line with the research areas of the laboratory.

The candidate must put together a file that will be examined by the doctoral school's board. Registration for the doctorate is decided by the head of the establishment on the proposal of the director of the doctoral school.

Content

Apart from the supervision of the thesis by the research director, doctoral students enrolled in the ED 556 HSRT (Homme Sociétés Risques Territoire) must validate a minimum of 120 hours (HF), over 3 years, with a balance (3 x 40 HF) as far as possible.

Financing

The doctoral contract, created by the decree of 23 April 2009, is a single contract concluded for a period of 3 years between the employing institution and the doctoral student. It is an employment contract under public law.
