"Small town of tomorrow" - Atelier Hors les Murs

News from Rives en Seine
Students fromENSA Normandie DE Architecture Ville Territoires, supervisors: Joseph Altuna, Antoine Apruzzese, Marie Chabrol,
Patrice Gourbin, Dominique Lefrançois, Gabriella Trotta) and those from UniLaSalle (Master of Science in Urban Agriculture and Green Cities, supervisors: Marie Ben Othmen, Marc Legras) were warmly welcomed by the municipality of Rives en Seine as part of an educational partnership. An initial meeting took place in October with the mayor, Bastien Coriton, and other elected officials and municipal technicians, in the presence of representatives from the Boucles de la Seine Normande Regional Nature Park, the Federation of Regional Nature Parks, EPF Normandie, and government departments (the Departmental Directorate for Territories and of the Seine-Maritime of Seine-Maritime and the General Secretariat for Regional Affairs).
The student team was housed on site from 16 to 20 November to study the project area directly in situ, accompanied by teachers from various disciplines and local stakeholders.
All the participants are delighted with the experience and the teachers have observed remarkable progress in terms of pedagogical expectations... in short, tired but very satisfied!
This group was, of course, quickly spotted locally, including by the press:

Our teachers are talented! Valéry Didelon, winner of the 2022 Architecture Book Prize

The Academy of Architecture awarded the 2nd prize for the architecture book to Valéry Didelon for his book La Déconstruction de la ville européenne. Euralille 1988-1995. Éditions de La Villette. 2021.
In this book, the author revisits Euralille, a controversial urban planning operation of the late twentieth century. In particular, he explores the logic of the neoliberal construction of the city through the actions and positions of three of its main protagonists: the architect Rem Koolhaas, the mayor Pierre Mauroy and the developer Jean-Paul Baïetto.

Meeting - Resilience Forum

Pavillon des transitions, Rouen

The project La Marche des Mille Pattes is a territorial research-action carried out by the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Normandie. Students walk from the Cauchois plateau to the Seine Valley, discovering the landscape on foot during two days of immersion. From their logbooks, a tale of the loops of the Norman Seine has been realized, completed by a cartographic work and analysis both sensitive and scientific. This work allows to develop a new methodology of approach of the territory.

Conference - Đồng nát-Recyclable waste in Hanoi, dynamic spaces in the city

30 – Jean Duminy Amphitheater –

This conference is the presentation of the result of a research action on the network of recyclable waste collectors that irrigates the city of Hanoi and can respond to the contemporary concerns of the whole world on the management of "garbage". Through this research based on field action, the authors were able to raise awareness and place the environment at the heart of citizens' concerns. This in situ experimentation with the collectors allowed for the testing of several interdisciplinary scientific methods. It organizes an open dialogue between the multiple actors of this original treatment of waste turned resource, a dialogue ranging from the "Đồng nát" to the elected officials of Hanoi through the officials of the Vietnamese ministries concerned as well as the French Development Agency. This work sheds light on this selective collection system initiated by a post-war economy. What is done here, could find a resonance elsewhere.

Organization : Luc perrot
Within the framework of the Workshop Sociology, Visual Arts S07 and S09
