Conference - From architecture to drawing

Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at 6pm, Jean Duminy amphitheatre.

After working as an architect for ten years, Martin Etienne (b. 1974) decided in 2009 to give up this activity to devote himself fully to his passion: drawing. He is now an illustrator, working mainly on subjects related to architecture, cities and landscapes. From 2010 to 2018, he produced a series of drawn articles for criticat magazine, borrowing from the language of comics and travel books. Since 2015, he has published a monthly cartoon in the magazine d'a.

Based on a proposal by Adrien Henocq.

Contemporary architectural practices in question

Round Table - Rehabilitation of 20th century concrete heritage

Wednesday, October 15, 2025 - 6 to 8 p.m. - Amphi Jean Duminy - France

The round tables entitled " Contemporary Practices in Architecture: Questions and Answers " explore contemporary issues in the profession that arise from the HMONP training program atENSA Normandie.

For the 2025 session, the theme of the round table will be "Rehabilitation of 20th century concrete heritage".

The rehabilitation of concrete buildings dating from the 20th century represents a major challenge today, both in terms of the size of the existing building stock to be renovated and the questions raised by adapting it to new thermal requirements and preserving its heritage qualities. The round table will provide an opportunity to discuss the contributions of architects
to the production, sharing and dissemination of knowledge on the subject.

Speakers:

- Isabelle Genyk & Guillaume Duranel: Table moderation
- Clémence Poitevin: ADE certified in 2025
- Fabrice Drain: Tutor, manager of Atelier Binôme

We invite ADEs working on their HMONP and the agencies that host them, to discuss the issues they may encounter in their day-to-day practices.

These round tables are also open to allENSA Normandie studentsENSA Normandie wish to learn about the HMONP program and understand the challenges facing architects today.

Meeting followed by a convivial drink.
