As it does every year,ENSA Normandie five guest professors who will lead architectural project workshops in the second semester of the third year of the bachelor's degree program. These guest professors will provide 120 hours of supervision for a group of around twenty students, and will also give a masterclass lasting around one hour, open to all students at the school.

Expected

Candidates should have extensive professional or academic experience in the field of architectural, urban and/or landscape design. They will have to mobilize this experience to propose an exploratory workshop and a conference that questions the profession of architect today. The workshop will involve working with students on architectural, urban and landscape issues that complement those they have already studied in previous semesters, namely: in S1 and S2 "Observe, represent, design", in S3 "Milieu(x), resources, construct", in S4 "Habitat", and in S5 "Initiation to urban design". Teaching can take place in French or English.

Conditions

Proof of professional activity in architecture or teaching or research duties in a higher education or research establishment, either in France, Europe or abroad.

A degree in architecture, urban planning or landscape design

Terms of the contract

Effective date: March 1, 2024 for 6 months

Remuneration: based on the increased index of the 1st step of the ENSA professors' corps, i.e. a net monthly remuneration of approximately €1970 (€11820 in total).

Teachers are responsible for their own travel and accommodation costs.

Superior authority: the director ofENSA Normandie

The teachers recruited are expected to work closely with the semester coordinators to ensure that their teaching fits in with the rest of the semester.

>> A proposal for the project workshop, setting out its theme and method, its organization, a provisional timetable and, if applicable, a provisional budget for visits and the purchase of teaching materials. Please note that it will be possible to run the workshop once a week on Wednesdays between the beginning of March and the beginning of June, or twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays in May and June.

>> A proposed topic for a Masterclass lecture and a working title. Please note that these Masterclasses should open the way to problematized reflection on what it means to be an architect today and tomorrow.

>> A note on any scheduling constraints that might affect the organization of the proposed teaching.
