Training for rehabilitation

Rehabilitation is a multi-faceted term, a major issue and a potential for architectural creation, but how are students and professionals trained, according to which courses and in which institutions? These questions were the subject of a study, commissioned by the PUCA within the framework of the REHA programme, consisting of a survey that provides an overview of the current offer.
This book is the result of this study; beyond the overall view it offers, it opens up avenues of reflection for developing the teaching of rehabilitation in order to give it a full and complete place in schools of architecture, but also to disseminate architectural culture in professional training.

Final year projects 2014-2015

The main objective of this work is to show a real desire for architecture. The end-of-study project is considered to be the culmination of the student's career. A long process of 5 years made of doubts and also of [great satisfaction], of sometimes random and varied paths, of back and forth necessary to the construction of the urban and landscape architectural thought. It is also the first milestone in his professional life as an architect.

The 2012 and 2013 graduation projects

Architects ultimately contribute to changing society and propose a new model that revisits our economic, social, environmental and cultural balances. The students of today will be the architects of tomorrow. Their vision will be at the origin of their development and of the renewal of professional thoughts and practices. This book therefore also aims to show this innovative attitude of creativity necessary for any architectural project.

Trans-Form

The Trans-Formation of existing architecture is not only a matter for specialists and technicians, but a discipline that is profoundly open to our daily lives.
ENSA Normandie has been addressing this issue since 1999 by examining industrial heritage, urban housing typologies and the architecture of the "Trente Glorieuses", which are representative of the urban and landscape issues of Normandy.

Xenakis and the arts

This programme is the result of a partnership that has been going on for several years between the University of Rouen, the University of Rouen History Research Group, the Iannis Xenakis Centre and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Normandie.
This publication is the result of this collective commitment to "Xenakis and the arts".

How contemporary?

From the outset, the question of what is the contemporary has been the focus of this book, which tends to shift the question to the "how". How, then, are we led to search? The complexity of the devices, the layering of temporalities, the uncertainties of the politics of ambiences... What forms of elaboration would we be led to go through, which are not necessarily linear, nor imbued with logical stability, but rather 'constellar'? Hence this question: How can the contemporary be made?
