Discover 4 iconic houses from the 20th century
Be able to describe the houses in English with the vocabulary taught (adjectives, specific vocabulary)
Be able to compare the houses (comparative adjectives)
Be able to talk about their own house design in a guided tour format (the imperative)
Content
Iconic Houses of the 20th Century: four houses to study
Grammar: a selection of grammar points according to the level of the group (there will be 6 groups in all, per level)
Videos and texts adapted to the students' levels
Vocabulary: to be able to describe a house with precision
Evaluation method
Oral (present a house as a guided tour): end of semester
Written : Vocabulary: end of semester during an English class
Work required
Students will use the following language systems:
Grammar: B1/B2 level grammar depending on the group (adjectives and comparative adjectives, imperative, present tense, preterite, present perfect etc.).
Lexis: architectural vocabulary
Students will also practice the following language skills: reading, listening, speaking and writing.
