ENSAL and its EVS-LAURe laboratory are organising two study days devoted to Lina Bo Bardi, her theoretical contributions, the resonances of her editorial, drawn and constructed work, and her practice of architecture close to artisanal knowledge.
Caroline Maniaque will lead the sessions "Inhabiting the world through the lens of Lina Bo Bardi" and "Lina Bo Bardi's landscapes" on Thursday 17 March 2022.

The study days will also be transmitted by videoconference, upon registration.

The first "Archi XXe Forum" will be held on 10 March at ENSA Toulouse, with the theme " Use value as the starting point of the project, the inhabitants at the heart of the system ".
The research " Cultural resource and urban project. Les villes moyennes de la Seconde Reconstruction " (scientific directors Patrice Gourbin and Camille Bidaud, ATE laboratory) will fuel the discussions during this afternoon of exchanges.

Radio - Las Vegas or postmodernism in architecture

Valéry Didelon will be the guest of Matthieu Garrigou-Lagrange, in the programme Without daring to ask on France Culture.

He will return to the work of Denise Scott Brown and Robert Venturi, to the year 1968, to Las Vegas... around his book The Learning from Las Vegas Controversy (ed. Mardaga, 2011).

Gabriel Bernard-Guelle, PhD student, at the Normandy final of Ma thèse en 180 secondes!

To make people understand years of research in three minutes and to the greatest number of people! This will be the challenge of Gabriel Bernard-Guelle, doctoral student - ATE laboratory, on 24 March at 2pm at the Maison de l'Université de Rouen. In 180 seconds, he will talk to us about "The teaching of construction in schools of architecture between the 1920s and 1970s. Definition and reform of the architect's relationship to technique and engineering".

This event is jointly organised by Normandie Université and CNRS Normandie in partnership with the Dôme, and will also be broadcast live on the Normandie Université WebTV.

Doctoral seminar - RADIAN

As part of the RADIAN programme, the doctoral students are organising a doctoral seminar which is intended to be a forum for exchange and reflection on doctoral research in progress, with the help of guest speakers. Session 4, entitled "Les terrains imaginés de la recherche-création", will welcome Sandra Delacourt, contemporary art historian.
Sandra Delacourt is an independent art critic, professor of contemporary art history at ESAD TALM-Tours and associate researcher at HiCSA (Université Paris 1). Her research focuses on the political uses of knowledge, as well as on the relationships of social and cultural domination that they imply. Sandra Delacourt is the author of L'artiste-chercheur, un rêve américain au prisme de Donald Judd (B42, 2019), and she co-edited Le chercheur et ses doubles (B42, 2016).

Doctorate in artistic research and creation

Call for applications - Radian

The three cultural colleges of Normandy - the École supérieure d'art et design Le Havre-Rouen, the école supérieure d'arts & médias de Caen/Cherbourg and the École nationale supérieure d'architecture de Normandie - members of the Communauté d'Universités et d'Etablissements Normandie Université, and the École doctorale 558 "Histoire, Mémoire, Patrimoine, Langage" created in 2018 RADIAN, a doctorate in artistic research and creation open to the fields of art, design, architecture and literary creation.

Opening of the call for applications for two doctoral students, each receiving an annual grant of fifteen thousand euros (financed by the Normandy Region) for a period of three years.

Deadline for responses: 10 March 2022 at 23:00
